£80 million Life Chances Fund - Announcement of SIB projects that will receive support

The Life Chances Fund (LCF) is an £80 million fund that seeks to tackle entrenched social issues across society and help people who face significant barriers to lead happier and more productive lives. Round Two of funding has just been announced.

The LCF is managed by the Big Lottery Fund on behalf of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and was launched in 2016. It seeks to tackle issues around six key themes: drug and alcohol dependency, children's services, early years, young people, older people's services, and healthy lives. 

Round One of LCF funding was announced in December 2017 with a focus on drug and alcohol dependency and support for children in care.

Round Two has just been announced and these projects focus on SIBs for early years intervention and youth engagement for those who are not in education, employment or training (NEET).
